Romans 7 is one of the paragraphs where the Apostle Paul deeply explains the relationship between the law, sin, and Christ. The text teaches how the old man, who was bound to the law, was put to death through the body of Christ. It also shows the way for the saints to newly unite with the resurrected Christ and serve in the newness of the Spirit. At the same time, while honestly diagnosing the conflict between the mind and the flesh that occurs daily even in the saints who have received the removal of sins, it clearly reveals that the One who delivers us from the body of death is only our Lord Jesus Christ. From the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, this chapter is a spiritual diagnosis and prescription that shows the holiness of the law, the limits of man, and the work Christ accomplished once and for all in a single flow.
